Thursday 7 am MP drives the 3 ton truck to our pick up site. We are allotted 2 or 3 pallets ff of a variety of fresh vegetables and fruits (tomatoes, onions, green onions, carrots, broccoli, apples, straw berries, pineapples, etc.) as available this week. The pallets are loaded on the truck and it is driven to the distribution location at the Victoria SDA Church in Loma Linda. The pallets are unloaded and the volunteers put the produce in bags for distribution. Usually by 9:30 AM the gates are open and the public come in in an orderly fashion. Their names are verified for data purposes and the bags are loaded on the cars and distributed.
By 11 am the distribution is complete and volunteers clea up the site.
Since we do not have any cold storage facilities, it is distributed the sane day. We also pick up some dry goods and doughnuts from other pick up sites during thre week and store it for distribution on Thursday.
